Community Engagement
As an integral part of the larger social fabric, supporting our communities is an important aspect of the LSB corporate culture. We actively seek out ways to contribute to community development through monetary donations, sponsoring local events and participating in philanthropic initiatives. We support our communities by uplifting those in need and creating a positive environment for everyone to thrive.
Our community outreach program is focused across four specific areas as we partner with organizations in the communities where we operate:
- STEM education
- Assisting families in need
- Agricultural organizations
- Civic organizations
One example of the commitment of our employees came during the annual 2023 United Way fundraising campaign, as teams across our sites collectively donated nearly $100,000 to their local United Way drives. In addition, team members participated in numerous volunteer activities, sharing their time as well as their financial support.
