Clean Energy
Vision
We believe there is a substantial need for low carbon energy sources across various business sectors, including transportation and power, among others. We are committed to help meet that demand as a leader in the energy transition through the production and delivery of low and no carbon products to multiple end markets.
Why the energy transition?
Climate change and the role industry plays—and will continue to play—in the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions presents an opportunity for LSB as a leader in the transition to low or no carbon energy/products. There is significant interest surrounding the various methods currently being developed to transition the energy we use each day from carbon-based sources to low or no carbon emitting sources. From blue and green ammonia to e-methanol, to hydrogen, these low and no carbon sources are all being developed as potential ways to power, light and heat our homes and businesses, and to transport ourselves and the products we use every day. As an ammonia producer, we understand ammonia assets. We know how to produce, handle and store ammonia. We understand the logistics of the ammonia space and will leverage that knowledge to strengthen our leadership position.
How will LSB become a Clean Energy leader?
First, we will continue to lever our existing business platform and our portfolio of assets to produce low carbon products.
Second, we will utilize our financial flexibility and cash flow generation to grow the company.
Finally, just as we know our strengths, we also know when to partner with others who can bring in additional expertise when needed. We don’t expect to do this alone. We are continuously building a network of partners/partnerships to bring additional knowledge, expertise, and relationships to the table.
